Q) My FlyCamOne2 does not turn on. Why?

A) After switching your camera on, you need to also push the shutter release (second button from the top) to activate the camera.

Q) My video is blury.  Why?

A) There is a protective film over the lens.  Make sure you remove it before recording.

Q) My videos are not recording properly. Why?

A) Your SD card may be too slow, or you need to update your Camera's firmware.

Q) After updating to firmware 4.0.1,Why does my camera take forever to turn on?

A) There is no SD Card in the Camera.  Please ensure there is an SD Card in the camera before swtiching the camera on.

Q) How can I trigger the camera remotely?

A) Use the socket, connect a free channel from your remote control (switch) to the baseplate (comes with the camera). See Baseplate allocation for details. The only extra things you need for that is the remote control unit (if you don't have it, find it on ebay).

Q) Can I use an external Power supply?

A) Yes you can. The camera comes with a baseplate to connect.
It has to be 5 Volt  350mA. Check support for allocation of baseplate pins

Q) My SD Card does not stay in the camera

A) The SD Card has to be pushed fairly deep, until you hear "click". If not sure, please use a pen.

Q) Is the camera Apple Macintosh (r) compatible?

A) Yes

Q) Does heavy vibration affect the video quality?

A) Heavy vibration, e.b. from a gas engine can cause flickering. The FlyCamOne comes with foam velcro Pads to avoid these problems.

Q) Does heavy acceleration affect the video quality?

A) No, acceleration is usually not a problem. Here is a video of the flycamoe2 on a rocket.
Heavy crashs can destroy the camera. No guarantee for any recording of crashs.

Q) Some SD Cards do not work, why?

A) FlyCamOne2 requires a minimum sustained write speed of 9 megabytes (MB) per second. Few SD Cards are slower than that which causes ether complete malfunction or bad video quality. Use a faster card to avoid this problem.

Q) I got weird green stripes in my video and the download from the cam took ages

A) This happens when the battery is empty while downloading video. Another possible reason is that the flat cable from the head is not firmly.

Q) After a few minutes of recording the cam doesn't let me stop recording. Whats wrong?

A) This happens when the Memory Card is not able to handle the datastream. Use another memorycard.

Q) Are there Problems in cold temperatures?

A) The operating time of the camera can be reduced. The external Battery Pack would be beneficial.

Q) My Cam suddenly does not say anything at all any more.

A) If this happend after you connected it to a Computer, you can reawaken the camera easily by re-installing the firmware. Download the newest firmware and follow the instructions included in the download.
